منى و منار فتاتان فلسطينيتان تعيشان في مخيمي لاجئين في بيروت و في بيت لحم. رغم العقبات العصيبة التي تفصل بينهما ، تنجحان في تكون صداقة قوية عن طريق الخطابات و اللقاءات المؤثرة على الحدود الفلسطينية اللبنانية. صور الفيلم في أثناء تحرير جنوب لبنان من الاحتلال الاسرائيلي و بداية الانتفاضة الفلسطينية، ليجسد أحلام و آمال جيل من الشباب الفلسطيني الذي يعيش في المنفى.

Mona and Manar are to Palestinian girls growing up in refugee camps in Beirut and Bethlehem. Despite the overwhelming barriers that separate them, the girls form a close friendship through letters and dramatic reunions across the Lebanese border with Palestine. Shot during the liberation of South Lebanon from Israeli occpuation and the beginning of the Palestinian Intifada, the film articulates the dreams and hopes of a generation of young Palestinians living in exile.
