"عندما قابلت الفتيات، هؤلات اللواتي تقدنَ سيارات السباق، كان أمراً مفاجئاً للغاية لأنهنَ "كنَ تقمنَ بفعل شئٍ غير متوقع. الأمر الغير متوقع في أي مكان، وهو مشاهدة سائقات سيارات السرعة. لكن في منتصف الشرق الأوسط، قد يبدو الأمر غريباً، بلَ وفي منتهى الغرابة أنه يحدث في وسط هذا المكان المحتل وليس هناك سوى القليل جداً من إمكانيات لإيجاد مجال أو حيزّ. بدا الأمر مثل "كيف بإمكانهنَ حتى القيام بذلك هنا؟!" لكن في الوقت ذاته، تلك الفتيات عالمياتٍ للغاية ومدعاة للفخر".

"When I met the girls, these racecar drivers, it was surprising because they were doing something so unexpected. Unexpected anywhere — you don’t see women race car drivers that often. But in the middle of the Middle East it may seem strange, and then even stranger is it’s in the middle of this place that’s occupied, and there’s very little access to space. It was like, “how can they even do this here?!” But at the same time these girls are so universal — you see yourself in them."

في اعتباري أن "أخوات السرعة"، الفيلم الوثائقي المنسوج كالخيال، يُعد من بين أقوى وأحدث الأفلام الوثائقية "الفلسطينية".      
      إنه عبارة عن بوتقة تنصهر فيها المشاعر والقصص والقضايا المهمة للغاية محلياً وعالمياً، وهو في الغالب هجومٌ مضاد مهم ضد الأفكار النمطية، وتعامل برؤية حقيقية واضحة عن فلسطين، عن المرأة، وعن المرأة في ظل الإحتلال.بينما يقدم هذا الفيلم حقيقةً فلسطينيةً مختلفةً غير معروفةٍ للعالم، فإنه أيضاً يكشف عن ممارسات غير معروفة للجمهور المحلي الفلسطيني، ويكشف عن مناقشات حول النوع الإجتماعي والسلطة والوطنية. لكن أهم معالجة استحوذت بشكلٍ كامل على اهتمامي وتقديري، هي قراءة المخرجة ونظرتها للمجتمع الفلسطيني المنقسم إلى سلطة وشعب - الأمر الذي ظهر من خلال معالجة وتطور الشخصيات.
رؤيةُ يتردد صداها على نحوٍ كامل اليوم مع الليبرالية الجديدة القوية/معاداة الفلسطينيين،     
          تحت مسمى التحرير السياسي.

I consider "Speed Sisters", the documentary that is woven like fiction, amongst the most powerful, recent,  'Palestinian' documentary films. It is a melting pot of emotions, stories  and extremely important issues, locally as internationally, and mostly an important counter attack against stereotypes, treated with a real clear vision about Palestine, women and women under occupation.

While this film presents a different unknown Palestinian reality to the world, it also unveils unknown practices to the Palestinian local public and reveals discussions regarding gender, authority and patriotism, but the most important treatment that completely gained my interest and appreciation is the director's reading and view of the divided Palestinian society into authority and people -  which was revealed through the treatment and  development of the characters; a vision that resonates perfectly today with the strong neoliberalism / anti-Palestinianism under the name of a political liberation.
