The 6th Rough Cut Workshop for Arab Women Filmmakers
If you are an Arab woman filmmaker with a feature-length movie (documentary, fiction or animation) in the rough-cut phase, then you can apply for the Rough Cut Workshop that will be organized by the Between Women Filmmakers Caravan for three days on November 23, 24 and 25.
The deadline for submission is October 10, 2023.
The workshop sessions will be held online, with a jury of professional female filmmakers from different specializations. They will provide support and consultation towards developing the movie in terms of its content and artistic aspects.
Six movies at the stage of post-production (rough cut) will be selected to participate in the workshop. By the end of the three days, the jury will choose one movie to be awarded an amount of 4000 euros.
Movies that participated in the previous editions of the workshop include: “Souad” by Ayten Amin, “Their Algeria” by Lina Soualem, “Miguel's War” by Eliane Raheb and “As I Want” by Samaher Alqadi.

الدورة السادسة من ورشة المونتاج المبدئي للسينمائيات العربيات
إذا كنتِ مخرجة عربية ولديكِ فيلم طويل (تسجيلي أو روائي أو تحريك) في مرحلة المونتاج، يمكنكِ التقدُّم للمشاركة في ورشة المونتاج المبدئي التي تنظمها قافلة بين سينمائيات على مدار ثلاثة أيام، بتاريخ ٢٣ و٢٤ و٢٥ نوفمبر.
الموعد النهائي لتقديم طلبات التسجيل: ١٠ أكتوبر ٢٠٢٣.
تُعقد جلسات الورشة عبر الإنترنت مع لجنة تحكيم دولية تتكون من سينمائيات محترفات في النواحي المختلفة من صناعة الفيلم. وتتضم الجلسات تقديم الدعم والاستشارة بشأن تطوير الأفلام من ناحية المضمون ومن النواحي الفنية.
سيتم اختيار ٦ مشاريع في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج (المونتاج المبدئي) للمشاركة في الورشة. وبنهاية الأيام الثلاث، ستختار لجنة التحكيم فيلمً واحدًا لتمنحه جائزة قدرها ٤٠٠٠ يورو.
من الأفلام التي شاركت في الدورات السابقة من الورشة: «سعاد» للمخرجة أيتن أمين، و«جزائرهم» للمخرجة لينا سوالم، و«أعنف حب» للمخرجة إليان راهب، و«كما أريد» للمخرجة سماهر القاضي.
