Synopsis

Eva (8 years old) and her father are doing a road tripfrom montreal to mexico in a big 18-wheels truck. They immigrated to Quebec three years ago and, although she would have preferred to take the plane, Eva is very excited to have her first holiday with her father.

Director Biography

Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers holds a BFA in Film Production from Concordia University and a MFA in Acting at the Drama Center London (UAL). During her studies, she had the chance to perform at the Shakespeare Globe in London and The Vakthangov theater in Moscow. She also studied Feature writing at L’INIS. Sandrine performs music since primary school (cello and singing) and sometimes she composes soundtracks for her films. Sandrine wrote and directed over 15 short films that were screened in different festivals around the world. Aside her personal projects, she had the chance to do an internship with Denis Villeneuve on Incendie and be Daniel Roby’s personal assistant on his film Louis Cyr. She also worked as film-mentor in different First Nation communities for the non-profit organization Wapikoni Mobile. Concordia University hired her to teach part-time « acting and directing for screen ».
